Where Love and Compassion Guide Every Journey
Kathy Shea, MSW — End-of-Life Educator • End-of-Life Coach • Death Doula • Grief Companion
There is a quiet truth that connects every one of us: Life is precious because it is finite.
When we become willing to have conversations about mortality, grief, legacy, and love, we don't become consumed by death—we become more present for life.
Living Fully Begins with Embracing What Matters Most
The Quiet Truth
At This Point In Your Journey, You Are…
Planning ahead
Caring for someone you love
Navigating a serious illness
Who is this for?
Grieving a profound loss
You don't have to walk that path alone.
Meet Kathy Shea, MSW
For more than twenty years, my work has centered around helping people navigate some of life's most sacred moments.
In 2003, I had the extraordinary privilege of serving as the secretary to Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, whose groundbreaking work transformed how the world understands death, dying, grief, and compassionate care. Following Dr. Kübler-Ross's death, I continued working alongside her son, Ken Ross, helping establish the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation and preserving her remarkable legacy.
Inspired by that experience, I earned my Master of Social Work, specializing in end-of-life care, grief, and bereavement. Since then, I have worked in hospice, volunteered alongside patients and families, and have supported individuals and families through life's most meaningful transitions.
I believe that talking about death is ultimately about learning how to live.

End-of-Life Coaching
Thoughtful guidance as you prepare for the future.
Whether you're facing a diagnosis, planning ahead, or simply wanting to have meaningful conversations with those you love, we'll explore what matters most so your wishes are known and your loved ones are supported.
Death Doula Services
Compassionate presence before, during, and after death.
As your Death Doula, I provide non-medical emotional, practical, spiritual, and educational support throughout the dying process while honoring each person's unique beliefs, values, and wishes.
Grief Companion
Grief doesn't need to be fixed. It needs to be witnessed.
I offer compassionate companionship through the many forms of grief that accompany loss, caregiving, illness, divorce, major life transitions, and the death of someone we love.
Death is not the opposite of life. It is part of life.
When we prepare for life's final chapter with openness, compassion, and intention, we leave an extraordinary gift to those we love.
My role is never to tell you what your journey should look like.
My role is to walk beside you — with compassion, curiosity, and respect — so that you and those you love feel seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
My Philosophy
Begin the Journey.
You don't have to have all the answers before reaching out.
Whether you are planning ahead, supporting someone you love, navigating grief, or simply curious about living more intentionally, I invite you to begin the conversation.
Together, we'll explore what matters most, with compassion, presence, and hope.
